He has graduated from M R Medical College, Gulbarga, Karnataka. After completion of his Post-graduate training in Pathology at the same Insitution, he joined Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad as Senior Resident in 2002. He is currently working as Professor & Head in Department of Pathology. He also hold additional responsibility of I/c  Stem cell Facility (A & D Block) and Nodal Officer, HMIs, NIMS.

Areas of interest:

• Surgical Pathology and Hematopathology with special interest in bone and joint diseases, lung pathology, hemostatic and thrombotic disorders.

Specialized Training:

• Praful Desai/ UICC Fellowship in Oncopathology from TMH, Mumbai.
• Geraldine C. Zeiler scholarship for visiting clinician programme in Pulmonary Pathology at Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

• “Dr. Nagalothimatt Excellence in Teaching Award” for the year 2017 at 35^th Annual National CME in Pathology held at JNMC Belagavi, Karnataka
• “Dr.  M R Parthasarathy and Dr. A V Ramprasad Silver Plaque Award”  at  40th Annual National  CME at JNMC, Belagavi, Karnataka in June 2022.
