1. Teleconsultation/ online consultation is not a replacement for in-person consultation. It is being provided as temporary solution because of COVID-19 pandemic.
2. There may be technological problems during consultation, such as poor network connectivity, insufficient quality of images or lack of understanding due to poor voice quality.
3. You should share all the information (including previous prescription and medicines you are taking for other problems) and whatever the doctor asks related to your problem. You may be required to get certain Laboratory tests done before diagnosis is made.
4. The consultation is based on information provided by the patient. If the information is inaccurate, the diagnosis and treatment may vary.
5. The information provided during consultation will be stored for record keeping.
6. Queries will be replied and advice (if any) will be provided in text form. If the doctor needs to prescribe some medicine, a digital copy of the prescription will be sent to you.
7. Medicines should be used for prescribed duration only. Medicines may have side effects. In case of any side effects, contact the doctor.
8. The doctor may ask for in-person visit if necessary or may advise you to visit nearest hospital if the condition is serious, requires urgent care or if in-person examination is needed to make a diagnosis.
9. The doctor shall not be held responsible for any problems arising because of unforeseen circumstances, insufficient information, or limitations of online consultation.
