The Department of Emergency Medicine provides training for emergency management to the post graduate students of various medical and surgical specialities. The senior and junior residents from the departments of General Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Respirarory Medicine, Medical Gastroenterology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery are deputed in the Department of Emergency Medicine as a part of their curriculum.

The department also provides training to the interns of Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Care.
