Department of Hospital Administration at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences was commissioned in the year 1989 by the efforts of our most beloved Prof.Dr.Pulijala Satyanarayana with the following Mission, Vision & Objectives.

MISSION

The mission of our department is to educate future healthcare leaders to apply evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills toward the delivery, organization, and management of health and health care services within culturally diverse environments. Our department provides future and early careerists, as well as individuals employed within the health services industry, a comprehensive understanding of the core competencies and best practices required of today’s health and health care leaders and helping in developing the communication and critical thinking skills needed to address, manage, and overcome challenges.

The vision of our department is to be on the cutting edge of health systems education and research, focusing on health system performance while being consistent with the university’s commitment to both social justice and academic excellence.

OBJECTIVES

To discover the principles of health service administration and management that allow for successful planning, organization, management, and evaluation within a healthcare center or service. To be able to handle the most common techniques and methodologies used in clinical and healthcare management in order to critically examine the healthcare system. To gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for making decisions in the field of the healthcare organization. To learn about the political, social, legal and financial basis of the healthcare system.
